A Missouri Baptist ambulance was stolen from Sullivan Fire Station One on Tuesday night and later recovered near Gerth Road in Bourbon.
The ambulance crew was attending a meeting at the station when it was stolen.
Hours later, the ambulance was discovered by a motorist in Bourbon.
Authorities say there was no damage to the vehicle and no items were stolen. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital spokesperson Lisa Lochner issued a statement.
“We are thankful to Sullivan Police, Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, the public and our ambulance crew for the quick action and safe recovery of our ambulance.
Police are continuing their investigation into the theft.
