Kanawha County deputies arrested a man for stealing an Alum Creek Volunteer Fire Department truck.

Aubrey Turley III, 18, has been charged with grand larceny, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court on Thursday.

According to a criminal complaint, Turley stole an F-350 from the Alum Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Deputies say that they found a truck registered to Turley in the fire department parking lot.

They later found the fire department truck at a home in Dunbar, which Turley lied about and claimed was his home, and police arrested him.

Alum Creek fire chief was on scene to retrieve the truck. Turley introduced himself as the fire chief, to the actual fire chief.

Turley’s bail amount is $25,000.
