An Ohio man was arrested late Saturday night in DeKalb County, Indiana after he allegedly stole a medical vehicle from the Reading Emergency Unit and led police on a high speed chase.

The driver was identified as Thomas J. McGuire. WANE-TV reports he was arrested without incident after the chase on I-69  and was charged with felony resisting law enforcement and theft charges.

WANE-TV also reports the recently stolen Ford Explorer was described as being full of narcotics.

A GPS system inside of the vehicle allowed police to track it and it showed it was traveling south at a high rate of speed on I-69 in DeKalb County.

A DeKalb County deputy spotted the vehicle near Auburn and tried to stop it but the driver did not pull over.

The pursuit continued south for three miles before stop sticks set up by Garrett Police managed to deflate two passenger side tires. The tires shredded and the vehicle eventually came to a stop.
